Sermon on Joshua 2

where is Jesus?????????
before i got married to Dhammi i was a very different character from my today's character.I was a bad boy and was a very rough cop.I was thinking only the ways how i reach to my next promotion,how i earn much money and how i earn the honor of the people.For that things i was ready to do anything.But what happened to me after my marriage was i changed my character.I became a very family man.No night duties.Before that i didnt take many leaves from the police department.But later i took the leaves as much as i can.My target changes,converted.I started to dream of a our own house,i started to think how i can make my girl happy.Sometimes without permissions from my boss i went to pick her up from her office.I started to buy vegetables and the meat,started marketing which was a very unusual thing in my life.Before i got married i dont like rings and the jeweleries.But later i wore jeweleries,why because my girl like that.I converted my whole life according to her.Because she became the center of my life.Then i got disconnected from the world where i was.
When we rear the 2nd chapter of the book of Joshua we can see there is a story like mine.
Joshua 02:01
It say the spies sent by the Israel leader Joshua entered to the house of Rahab who was a prostitute.Prostitute,when many heard that word they change the shapes of their faces,Because this word is a very bad word.Which uses to explain a very big sin.Not even the faces many ladies change the shapes of their mouths and lips.Why this word is that much of pitty.This is a very serious sin.This is a serious thing than judging others.This is very serious thing than hate your brother.This is a very serious thing than not coming to the church.But i want to let you know she was on the same boat where you are to day if you have sinned.Even a little thing.Because finally all the garbages will go in to a same bucket.We were like her and we are like her if we feel that we have sinned.Doesn't matter what word you can use to explain the sin you have committed or i have committed.All are in the same boat.In this chapter the character of Rahab stands for the natural man.In this world everybody has sinned.Everybody has sinned.The bible says in the book of Romans 03:10 " There is no righteous one in this world".

What happened to Rahab later was she was converted.She was changed.Why she was changed.Because she heard the news about the almighty God and His works.His miracles and his will for the world.Joshua 02:10,11 Rahab told to the spies.She heard the news about the God.God has destroyed the sinners and he is destroying and He will destroy.But He saves those who come to Him.when Rahab heard that she built a relationship with God.Some can this is a one side relationship because she was not from Israel nation.But our God loves everybody.He loves
Buddhists,Hindus,Muslims,Sinhalese,Tamils and every body.when she was converted her life target was also changed.Her life style was changed.Her target was to earn money by selling her body to others.Enjoy the life.Enjoy with sin.But that became save her life from the destruction.She was finding a way to get connected with the Lord.She didn't help her king at Jericho.If she would have help the king she was able to become a rich lady.But when she put the God in the center of her life she was changed.Joshua 02:02-07

Finally what happened to the Rahab was she became a complete women in the eyes of the Lord.Then she helped the work of the God.She helped the spies and gave all the details about the strength and the mindset of the people and the king of Jericho. Joshua 02:06,11,She helped the people of God.The helping of the Christian ministry shows the strength of the connection between a person and his God.Because of her conversion what happened lately .Not only Rahab but her family got saved from the destruction.Spies are the churches and the christian ministries today.We are in mission with our Lord.We want to get this land for Jesus.Because the devil has blinded people.This is not the life they have.Not for this hard life the people are made for.So we help the christian ministries to get this land for Jesus !

Like my change when we got married Rahab's life was changed after she put the God in the central place of her life.

My dear friends i want to ask a question from you this day.Who is in the center of your life.What is in the center of your life.Is it Jesus or something else.

It doesn't matter you are a believer of Jesus of You don't know Jesus.Jesus is in a move to destroy the sin.If you are still living with sin one day you'll be destroyed with the sin.Today is the day for you to change and put Jesus in the center of your life.It doesn't matter what kind of sin you have committed.Today if you come to Jesus he will give you the salvation from the destruction and save you.Not only you but the people of your family and things belong to you.

If you don't know Jesus to day is the day for you to change your life and get save from the destruction.Days are short.If you tell that your are a sinner and repent God will accept you because of Jesus.When you ask Jesus to come to your life he will come to you and be with you for ever.The bible says in the book of Matthews 28:20 "i will never leave you till the ends of this world.
So lets put Jesus in the center of our hearts !

Story of a person who humled himself before the Lord..............

There is very committed family in the church to the Christ.They were having nice peaceful and prosperous life as the father of the family is a top class tea planter.They were given a nice bunglow,servants vehicles ,staff and ect. He the planter was expecting his next promotion.He went for the interview and the all members were so excited about the coming promotion for their Dad.But it was not a promotion and it was a demotion.He was transfered to a new small estate with low facility and the family was so upset and they came to me asking the reasons for that.God gave me the word from the book of James "Humble you up yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift y0u up".We prayed and he went and took over the new place as an act of humbleness.After one month he got an offer from another company with a higher salary and facilities.He went for the interview and he got the new job which is more than great which he had and today in the church he gave his testimony for the glory of God.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up!

Help to save many lives a year...................

The Mahaweli is the longest river in Sri Lanka.It pases the Kandy district in many places.People love to bath in this beautiful river.But it is reported in a place called"Waratenna" many lives missed by drawning in the river.Because in this place the river is so beutiful but there is a hidden danger.So the people from out side the city who do not know about the situation misses their live by stepping the river for bathing in this particular place.We got a invitation through the health department of central region to put around ten sign board all over the area that gives a caution to the people.Our board approved this project and gave the priority to this project because it is about saving lives.We need your help on this Project to be blessing to save the lives!!!

Christmas is coming..................

We the Miracle House Church Kandy is planing to celebrate His incarnation,the birth of our Lord Jesus.We are proud about our congregation members because they all wanted to celebrate Christmas in a meaningful way.This year we are planing to go and celebrate our Christmas with the kids of Home of Hope-Digana-Sri Lanka.
There will be fun Games,Drama,Dancing competitions,Feast and much more.

We are going to have a child from the Lord.He is giving us responsibility to raise a child for his service.Dhammi and I are so happy with the church about the blessing which is in its way to our family,to church and for His kingdom.Our baby's name will be David,Michel like that.Praise the Lord
